As the show came to a close we reflected on the 4 days and 30 hours of booth duty. There were no fewer than 35 companies at the show offering some form of mobile loyalty and/or payment. They had great looking booths, give-aways and shiny brochures but most were there to build their own brands — not the brand of the restaurant owner.
We saw first hand how difficult it is for a restaurant to choose a loyalty system. Do you build an app or leverage an app is already out there? Or, go app-less? Loyalty with stored value or not? Include gifting? What devices do you support? Keep physical cards or abandon them altogether?

Please continue to provide your suggestions. It helps us enhance what we have been told is one of the best solutions for restaurant groups.
